A server management suite covering uploads tracking, vault access control, giveaways, sticky messages, autoresponders, vanity roles, and ping-on-join, running in one of Discord's largest active communities since 2023.
The problem
Frantic runs a dedicated uploads section with a team of uploaders who post pfps and banners daily. Without any tracking system, uploaders had to rely on Discord's built-in message filter to count their own uploads, which is unreliable, especially for attachments. There was no way for admins to audit contributions, correct mistracking, or identify uploaders who had gone inactive. The server also offers an exclusive pfp vault for boosters. Verifying who should have access and removing members who stopped boosting had to be done manually.
What I built
An uploads management system (UMS) that tracks each uploader's total uploads, deletions, and completed custom requests in real time. Admins can adjust any uploader's stats live to correct errors or handle abuse. Uploaders who go on break for 60 days without returning are automatically removed; if they resume uploading while on break, the app removes the break status without any manual intervention. Each uploader also has a waiting list of claimed requests they're working through, which marks as completed when they run the finish command. For vault access, I built an approval system that prevents non-boosters from joining without authorisation. When a member stops boosting, the app detects it and kicks them from the vault automatically. The approval flow was later switched to fully automatic at the client's request. The app also covers giveaway management, sticky messages, autoresponders, vanity roles, and ping-on-join, all added incrementally over three years as the server's needs evolved.
Outcome
- Live since March 2023, used daily for 3+ years
- 110,000+ unique members served
- Routinely extended with new features as the community evolves
