1. Who we are
Gnost is a solo freelance operation providing custom Discord app development and hosting. All apps are developed and managed by a single developer operating under the Gnost brand. By using a Gnost app, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy. If you identify any inaccuracies, please open a ticket in the Discord server.
2. Data collected by apps
The data collected depends on the modules installed in your app. Only data required for the app to function is collected, nothing beyond that.
3. Data collected by this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. Order configurations are stored temporarily in your browser's local storage and are not sent to any server until you export and submit them via a ticket. Reviews posted in public channels of the gnost Discord server may be featured on this website.
4. Purpose of data collection
Data is collected solely for legitimate operational purposes: facilitating command execution and app functionality, storing and retrieving user-specific settings and progress (balances, levels, tracking data), supporting module-specific features, and debugging and technical maintenance. Data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or tracking purposes.
5. Third-party disclosure
Gnost does not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer user data to external parties. Gnost reserves the right to disclose data as required by applicable law or legal process.
6. Data storage
Modules with no persistent storage process data in memory only. Modules with persistent storage (economy, levels, tracking, etc.) store relevant data in a database for as long as the app remains active. All data is hosted on third-party server infrastructure. Reasonable security measures are maintained to prevent unauthorised access.
7. Data retention
Data is retained for as long as your app remains active and throughout any archival period. Archiving does not trigger deletion. If your app remains archived for 12 months without reactivation, a deletion notice will be issued with a 30-day window to reactivate before all associated data is permanently deleted. Once deleted, the app is not recoverable. Only a formal reactivation resets the archival clock. Following deletion, a lightweight showcase profile, app name, description, feature list, and portfolio screenshots, may be retained on the gnost website. This profile contains no personal data and exists solely for portfolio purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law including GDPR (EU/EEA) and US state privacy laws. Right to erasure: request deletion by opening a ticket, processed within 14 days. Right to access: request all data stored about you by opening a ticket, processed within 7 days. Right to correction: request correction of inaccurate data by opening a ticket. Gnost will make reasonable efforts to honour all valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
9. Discord's role
All apps operate on Discord's platform. Discord independently collects and processes its own data, governed by Discord's Privacy Policy. Gnost has no control over data collected directly by Discord. By using Discord, you are also subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
10. Children's privacy
Gnost apps are not directed at children under the age of 13. No data is knowingly collected from users under 13. If you believe a user under 13 has had data collected, please open a ticket immediately.
11. Policy amendments
This Policy may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of any Gnost app following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Significant changes will be announced in the Discord server.
